Events
1. On 11th July 2024, the students of B.Sc (N) IVth year and III year GNM participated in World population Day rally celebration at Bheemanakupee village. The program was inaugurated by community health officer and Aganvadi workers of Sulikere PHC. The Programme was proceeded with rally on awareness, advantage of small family norms and methods of family planning. This rally was encouraged by village people and to gain knowledge regarding importance of family planning.
2. On 13th July 2024, The Artist skill health academy team conducted a workshop about Online courses such as AMNC (Assiatant to maternal and newborn care) ,AMB(Anemia Mukt Bharat ) and Lactation / Nutrition Skill Assiatant for B.Sc(N) IVth year and III year GNM.
3. On July 16th 2024, BLS training was provided to GNM 2nd & 3rd yr students by Dr.Sunil, Medical Director, Fortis Hospital, Nagarbhavi branch, Bangalore.
4. On 24th July 2024, Mass Health Education was conducted by B.Sc 4th year Nursing students at Bheemanakuppa village .
5. On 26th July 2024, Nutitional programme was conducted by B.Sc Nursing 4th year students at Bheemenakuppa village on.
6. On 2nd September Faculty and Students participated actively in blood donation camp which is organized by PIMS at padmashree campus.
7. On September 5th 2024, Teacher’s day occasion was celebrated by our students.
8. On September 1st – 7th 2024, National Nutritional Week Celebration by Health Education from 3rd year B.Sc Nursing Students at Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health Hospital.
9. On 12th September 2024, FON Department organized Expo on Holistic nursing, with GNM 1st year students.
10. On September 18th 2024, GNM Orientation program was conducted. Shri.T.K.Narayanappa, Principal, VP , Parents inaugrated the session by Lighting the lamp. Sir given inaugraural address to the new comers, Followed by curriculum orientation, clinical facilities, evalation methods, hostel rules & regulations etc, by the faculties. Session came to an end with delicious lunch.
11. On 20th September 2024, Sports day was conducted in our campus, organized by nursing department. Students actively participated in Athletics, Cricket, Throw ball, Badminton, Volley ball etc.
12. On 21th September 2024, Ethnic day & food fest was conducted in our campus, organized by nursing department. Students & Faculties dressed with their cultured ethnic dress wear. Students prepared variety dishes for food fest Stall.
13. On 27th September 2024, World heart day was celebrated by MSN department, theme was Use heart for action, and participants were the 2nd yr GNM & 4th Sem B.Sc students. Our managing Director, Shri T.K.Narayanappa inaugurated the session. Prepared posters, models & presented on the theme. For best poster’s & model’s prizes been distributed to the students.
14. On 10th October 2024, World mental health day was celebrated, organized by MHN department for B.Sc (N) 3rd yr students & GNM 2nd yr students. The importance of mental health & its impact been discussed in the session by the MHN department faculties. Students demonstrated Mental illness consequences through Role play.
15. On 16th October 2024, 2nd yr GNM Nursing students conducted farewell day for 3rd yr GNM students. Juniors thrilled their seniors by giving them variety of cultural programs like dance, songs, and games. Enjoyed a lot with delicious lunch. Token of love, Gift was distributed to all the seniors.
16. On 14th November 2024, FON department with B.Sc (N) Ist sem student, organized workshop on First aids modules, Topic was drowning, foreign body in nose and ear, burns, CPR, Snake bite, Rat poisoning, Transportation of injured person ,disaster triage and bandage
17. On 16th Nov 2024, 3rd yr B.Sc Nursing students conducted farewell day for 4th year B.Sc (N) students. Students enjoyed with full of happiness by giving cultural to their seniors, felicitated their seniors with token of love. Lunch was so delicious.
18. On 29th January 2025, SIMULATION TRAINING SESSION was conducted by Ms.Monica, from Laderal for faculties
19. On 3rd Feb 2025, Padmashree group of institution celebrated FOUNDERS day celebration. We had a small get together with our esteemed management personnel’s. Dr. Ashwath Narayan Ex- Deputy Chief minister inaugurated the session.
20. On 5th March 2025, B.Sc (N) & GNM students with faculties attended the online webinar session organized by INC, regarding post budget invest in people.
21. On 6th March 2025, EZI Nurse, your pocket guide to learn nursing, was demonstrated by the team, to our GNM & B.Sc (N) students. It’s an app, need to be downloaded & can view the nursing curriculum lecture classes.
22. On March 14th 2025, Lamp Lighting and Dedication Ceremony occasion was organized in our campus for the B.Sc (N) 1st semester & GNM 1st year. Chief Guest was Dr.Lakshmamma. V.T, Principal of KIMS College of Nursing. Inaugurated by the management personnel’s & Principal. Oath was administered by the Principal to the students. Dedicated lamp was lighted by the Chief Guest & the Principal. Chief Guest addressed the students, by wishing Novice nurses. The Program came to the end by delicious lunch.
23. On March 18th & 19th 2025, during community posting at Mallegundenhalli village, 5th semester B.Sc nursing students demonstrated the importance of nutritional value food items of cooking to the village people.
24. On March 22nd2025, Fresher’s welcome party, organized by the 3rd semester students. All the students energetically participated in the fun games, program went on well with full of happiest movements of dance, songs, skit.It was held at Phsiotherapy seminar. Occasion was inaugurated by our Manging Director, Shri T.K.Narayanappa Sir & Chairman Mr.Satish Sir with special motivational speech for freshers. Students enjoyed the delicious food for lunch.
25. On March 26th 2025, Mass health education, was demonstrated through Role play on Environmental sanitation by 5th sem B.Sc (N) students at Malegindenahalli Rural community.
26. On 28th March 2025, celebrated as National Tuberculosis Day, The rally was conducted regarding Tuberculosis and its prevention and control at Malegundenahalli village. The theme of World TB day is “Yes! We can end TB! Commit, Invest, And Deliver”.
Various slogans regarding Tuberculosis and its prevention and control was recited by the 5th semester students to the village people. Every breathe counts, stop TB now.

27. On March 29th 2025, “Freshers Day”is a platform where the juniors display their hidden talents. This has been a regular event in almost every college. The most important thing in a fresher’s party is to enjoy moments of togetherness and make them feel good about being a part of in our college. The FRESHERS Day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The dress code for the Fresher’s Day was ‘Choose your comfort’. It was all fun for students of Padmashree School of Nursing, dancing, cheering and blowing whistles for their friends.
28. On April 3rd & 4th 2025, PGI allied health science block Sports meet 2025 was conducted. All the PGI allied health science colleges with students and faculties (Teaching and Non-teaching) were actively participated in the all the sports events, such as

29. On 12th April 2025, PGI conducted Campus Carrier carnival at PGI Campus. It was inaugurated by Mr.Sathish, Chairman PGI. Around 1250 students from PU and Degree colleges in and around from Bangalore came for the event. There were nearly 15 stall, each college of PGI had taken there initiative to highlights there college programs, scope & also focused on the job opportunities, scholarships etc. We nursing department focused on CPR, Quiz, BP checking & providing first aid management, Video show emphasizing on curricular activities. It was an evergreen occasion to visit our campus. Gift hampers with delicious lunch was provided for all the college students, who had been part in the success of Campus carnival.
30. On April 29th 2025, B.Sc 4th year & GNM 3rd year students & faculties participated in the German language presentation. Brainwaves Academy for Language conducted DEUTSCH BRIDGE COURSE International Career Guidance Programme on German Language in association with Padmashree Institute of Nursing .Guidance programme started with introduction about by Dr.Bhima Uma Maheswari , Principal PION&PSON. Programme Organizers enlighten the exciting nursing opportunities in Germany. Event hosted by Brainwaves Academy by Mr.Tom Sebastian Director. Speakers of the day Fr.Issac Koruth & Ms.Alphonza guided students through each step of the process like A1, A2, BI, B2 etc. Interaction session was organized with delegates from Germany by Zoom meet. The course is free of cost for the students, they need to bear only the examination fees to clear the exam. The session was very useful & students shown interest to join the German classes.
31. On May 5th 2025, International Day of the Midwife, It was established in 1992 by the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) to celebrate and raise awareness about the midwifery profession. GNM 3rd year been a part in this webinar. K.S Bharathi Joint secretary of INC was the MC of the Programme. Dr.Asha Sharma had given welcome address and brief introduction about celebration of the day. Dr.Saraswathi Das Sexual Reproductive health rights & specialist (UNFPA, India) has opened the Theme of the day “Midwives: Critical in Every Crisis”. Ms.Bijali Sinha has explained about Role of NPM in Midwifery Led Care Unit and followed by Ms.Vimala Kumari NPM -MLCU, SDH Dhanapur, Patna, Bihar, who is a nurse Practitioner has explained and oriented the center & the activities carried out. .Dr. Pawan Kumar who is the chief Guest of the virutual webinar has addressed the session. Dr.Dilip Kumar who is the president of INC has addressed the gathering. Dr. Jashu Patldar, Vice president of SOMI India Registar Gujarath Nursing council, Executive member of INC has given experience and development of Midwives from pre Independence to post independence. Dr.Jogendar Sharma Vice president of INC has explained about challenges and issues in Midwives. Dr.Jyothi Deputy Secretary of INC has given the vote of thanks on the session.
32. On May 12th 2025, Padmashree Institute of Nursing Bsc Nursing 1st semester students organized Science Expo human Anatomy and Physiology, as a part of their curriculum. The event held on first floor of Nursing college and was Inaugurated by Prof. Rajesh Shenoy Director PGI along with Dr. Yogesh S. N, M.B.B.S, M.D, PGDHS Consultant Fortis hospital Bangalore also with our Principal Dr. Bhima Uma Maheswari .
The exhibition featured with different type of topics given to 60 students from anatomy and physiology syllabus. The students’ creativity and hard work were evident in their detailed models and presentation. Dr. Yogesh, Prof. Neena Mathew, Dr. Dhanalakshmi, Dr. Bhima Uma Maheswari addressed the students’ efforts and encouraged them to pursue their scientific passions and highlighting the importance of such events in fostering a scientific temper among students.
The exhibition also provided a platform for students to interact with experts and gain valuable insights into various fields of science. The event was well-attended by students, faculty, and students from Physiotheraphy, students from MHA, Public health M.Sc Biotechnology making it a resounding success. This science exhibition not only showcased the talent within the college but also inspired many to explore the world of science further. The exhibition competition was held, with prizes awarded to the most innovative projects. The winners included mention names or project titles. Also, event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for making the science exhibition a memorable and enriching experience.
33. On May 13th 2025, Indian Nursing Council organized a webinar on theme of International Nurses Day – “Our Nurses. Our Future. “Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies’’. B.Sc (N) 4th year students actively participated in online webinar. K.S Bharathi Joint secretary of INC was the MC of the Programme. Dr. Punita Ezhilarasu –senior consultant in INC and Ex Dean in CMC Vellore was unfolding the theme of International nurses day 2025. Followed by Dr.Pamela cipriano ICN- President given speech regarding investment of nursing workforce in hospital setup. Special guest Mr.Kumar Rahul,India Director in Minister of family health and welfare given talk about principles of contribution of nursing services in India. Dr.Jogendra Sharma, Vice President of INC given talk about nursing profession. Dr.Dilip Kumar who is the president of INC has addressed the gathering and discussed about WHO released report on 12 May 2025 for nursing profession and leadership for change (LFC) Dr.Asha Vice president of INC has given the Vote of thanks on the session.
34. On May 24th 2025, Medivaah Business Network Company is a group of health care enthusiasts with a mission to make a positive impact on the way healthcare is accessed in India, organized a Work shop on Carrer Guidance at Padmashree Institute of Nursing for the final year B.Sc (N) 4th year & GNM 3rd year students. Dr.Shabiya Chief organising officer of Medivaah Business Network Company and Ms.Aishwarya been part in the workshop. Dr.Shabiya, introduced by herself and given brief introduction about Medivaah and their vision and mission, how there are providing job opportunities for the health care sector especially for the nursing fraternity. How students has to upload the resume, brief HR interview through app was elaborated by the team. Mrs. Sundaram, Mrs.Kala Suneetha & Mrs.Dhanushree attended this session. At the end of the session Students has downloaded the app and uploaded their brief details in Medivaah app. At the end of the session along with our Principal Dr.Bhima Uma Maheswari , Faculties and Students taken group photo with Medivaah team members.
35. On May 20th 2025, celebrated the birthday occasion of our Managing Director Shree T.K.Narayanappa . Padmashree group of institution Principals of various courses with their faculties & students been a part in the celebration. Celebration inaugurated by lighting the Deepa with showing of flowers on sir. Welcoming was proceeded by our Director Rajesh Shenoy sir. Sir’s memories was shared by video show. Our Chairman Sathish Sir & his brother with the family members enlighten the birthday celebration. Cake cutting was done by Shree T K Naryanappa & distributed the cake to all faculties & students. Celebration came to end by Vote of thanks with delicious lunch. We are very much thankful for our management.
